If you’re a fan, it’s not like the books’ll come alive and eat you. They’re not copies of the Monster Book of Monsters. If the belief that being a fan means reading the books where the magic began makes me a Death Eater, or, in muggle terms, elitist, so be it. Get over it. And read J.K.R.’s masterpieces.

Wow, um. Being an elitist =/= being a Death Eater.

If you formed a group that went around torturing and killing those who didn’t read the books, then you’d be a Death Eater.

If you just think people should read the books because otherwise they’re not ‘true’ fans, then you’re just elitist. Not even a pureblood, because not all purebloods are elitist, just elitist. (Or maybe just someone who’s really, really gung-ho about the books and really wants everyone to read them because they are so grand or something.)

In no way, shape, or form are you a ‘Death Eater’.

Let’s not confuse the desire to force others into your way of thinking through torture and threats of violence and death with with wanting people to do something just because, hm?

I take it you didn’t see the confession that this is in response to… Hence the death eater being in inverted commas. What you’re saying is true, but should be aimed at the original confession (which said people who’ve only watched the films = muggleborn, only read the books = half-blood, done both= pureblood, people who have a go at those who haven’t read the books = Death Eaters).
